I'm a college student at Kishwaukee Community College.

I enjoy hanging out with groups of friends and hate flying solo. Any day without plans is a day wasted in my opinion.

I am a sucker for romance and make a girlfriend one of the most important things in my life! I consider myself a good boyfriend, as I take care of my (hypothetical at the moment) girlfriend, never let her down, and tend to make her feel like the most special woman alive (because she is!).

I like to go for walks and bike rides, and in general be outdoors. If given a choice (and if it's feasible) I'd gladly ride my bicycle over driving a car.

As social and active as I am, I also enjoy working with computers. I'm shooting for a degree in computer science so I can get a job programming computers. I'm also one to play computer and video games.

I enjoy reading a good book when I have free time and need some time alone to relax. I've been reading since I was a young child, and there's no better way to get your thoughts going. Plus it's portable!

I am a sophmore at NIU studying Engineering. I am a bit of a geek, as my future profession will show. I like to read a lot, listen to music, mostly classic rock but I'm open to most forms of music. As far as looks go, I'm big boned but fairly muscular. Ive been told I have bedroom eyes, and a winning smile.

I am 25, and sadly, I've lived in DeKalb long enough to say I'm "from" here. I tried moving away once, but I must have been in the Kish when I was little, because here I am again.

more stuff about me:

i play the piano - i've been playing since i was about 7, so i guess that's about 17 years...but i only took lessons till i was 10, so i'm merely mediocre. but i like to play just the same. i've also been trying to teach myself the guitar, but i think i have to give up on it for now. :(

i've studied a style of martial arts called isshin ryu for the last 15ish years (i know....i'm a long-term kind of person...i don't usually give things up very easily). yes, i am a black belt. no, i don't know if i could kick your ass and i don't really care. i've never found a reason to kick anyone's ass no matter how much they piss me off.

i read whenever i can find the time, usually a couple of books at once. sometimes the paper too....tho i find current events can be kind of depressing when you're already having a bad day. 9 times out of 10 i'll just skip to the crossword.

i work out. usually i'm in the gym between 4 and 6 days a week depending on what else went on. i lift, bike (outside in the summer) and do pretty much whatever else seems interesting at the time. i like to take care of my body - i don't smoke and i rarely drink, but, not gonna lie, i do love to eat junk food from time to time....especially pizza.

i tend to drive around when i'm bored or can't sleep. i like my mini road trips :)

i rarely know what day of the week it is. so don't get annoyed with me if i ask you multiple times....probably within minutes of asking you the first time. i don't really know why. i'm guessing it's probably because i have no sense of time.

i have an unhealthy obsession with movies. my dvd collection is now pushing 600. so as you can guess, tuesday is my favorite day of the week (contrary to the paragraph above).

i have 4 tattoos....and i can't wait to get more. :)

In addition to being easy going, giving and accommodating I am up front and honest alwaysconsiderate of others needs and desires. The way I see it the amount of satisfaction, pleasure and serenity I get from a relationship is in direct proportion to the amount I give my partner. Hi. I like books. I like coffee. I pretend to like new, cool, music, but I really like top 40 radio crap. I just realized that I have taken over 70 tests on here. That is absurd. I feel I have a pretty good idea of who I am without having taken them, but some of them are just so cleverly written, or so poorly written, or so obviously reflect the values of someone completely opposite from me, that I get sucked in and have to take them.

I would say I'm pretty laid back. I'm not really a high maintenance kind of girl, although I'll admit that I like to be the center of my guy's attention. I'm the girl you wouldn't mind bringing home to mom but will also hang out with all your boys. I don't have to go out to have a good time, actually I'd rather stay in with my friends or just my guy, be comfy, watch a scary movie, and drink some beers. I'm a 22 year old guy living in DeKalb. Like it says on top of this page, I'm half Japanese and half American(White). I'm about 6' or 6'1 depending on the day. I don't know why my height fluctuates so much. haha

I look more Asian than Caucasian I think, but I don't have that typical Asian characteristics. My eyes are bad, I wear glasses.

I am a licensed meteorologist in Japan.

I read, write, and speak in Japanese and English, and I'm a certified bilingual. I speak 4 languages, English and Japanese fluently, Spanish at a decent level and Korean at an OK level.

I like to travel, although my movements are limited in DeKalb since DeKalb is in the middle of no where.

I know alot of random facts, if you want to know something interesting about a person or an object, I'm the one to ask.

I'm really not very good the whole describing myself thing. Right quickly I'll say I'm cool. And nice.. yeah that's about all I got at the moment.

I have an insatiable curiousity which drives me to learn the most random and unconnected of events. I aspire to be the male equivalent of Amelie, but more than likely I am merely an ogrish librarian sort trapped in a retarded jock's outer shell.

If you are looking for someone who defines themselves in a narrow, compartmentalized way, or especially in that falsely confident way that somehow fools so many vapid folk, move along-- I believe finding out who we (ourselves and others) truly are is an unending, day-to-day process. But like anyone else, I have my obsessions:

I am fascinated by identity, India, the avant-garde, and time travel. I love folk music, folk tales, cooking, weightlifting, record digging (jazz, soul jazz,jump blues, etc), ruins, silence, sandalwood, distressed leather and vinyl cracks.

I love to travel and learn about new cultures. If OKCupid had "animism" as a religion choice, I would pick it. I laugh out loud at simulacra sometimes. I'm for permaculture and the peace corps. I appreciate low fidelity. I pretend sophistication but would be much more at home playing art brute love puppets with a woman of undeniable genius and compassion.

Not sure what to put in these things, but here goes. I am a very serious Catholic, and I try my hardest not to screw up. Because I am human, I often fail at that, but that is the joy about God...He is very forgiving. I am part of the Music Ministry at NIU's Newman Center, as well as an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist. (Note: Extraordinary is pronounced like it is two words; "Extra" "ordinary") Whenever I am on the schedule to administer the Blessed Sacrament, I become nervous when I am up there because I get to touch the actual Body of Christ and drink His Blood. If you are confused by what I just wrote, please ask and I will be more than happy to explain!!!

I am really into sports, as well. My favorite teams are the Broncos, Cubs and Illini (not because they made the Rose Bowl, either). For the most part, I have been a lifelong fan of the Cubs and Illini. In June 2006, I had the opportunity to travel to Europe with a group of around 30 people. From May 30, 2009 to June 7, 2009, I went on a storm chasing vacation with a team called Tempest Tours. We covered 6 states and traversed just under 3400 miles. Even though we only saw 1 tornado, we had at least one chaseable storm everyday. Ask me about this trip, and I will tell more!!!

People-wise, I am looking for someone who will respect my interests. This person MUST be a serious Christian who does not do drugs, drink to the point of sickness, and goes to Church at least once a week AND on Holy Days of Obligation. Let's see...I'm a typical social studies teacher that is an encyclopedia of trivia knowledge. My obsessions in life include 80's music, the White Sox, football, quoting movies, and trying new things. I have an awesome group of friends that I grew up with and we've always been there for each other. I'm really close to my family even though most of my them live out west now. I've had my share of g/f's and know what it's like to be hurt, feel love, and just about everything in between so I have a good idea of what I'm looking for in a woman. I love to go out and unwind after a week of chasing after the six year olds that I teach. I enjoy lots of different things: music, NFL football, travel, British comedy, sports (swimming, biking, pool, table tennis, frisbee, basketball), playing cards and board games, good food, and good conversation.

I love life. I have a lot of different interests, which range from reading books to playing sports. I am always up for a challenge. I like meeting people, and I usually get along with them. Books are great, as well, and I love reading. Give me some classic literature, and I can read all day long. I also love playing music, and I play a few instruments. I write songs and sing them. Its a fun hobby.

I'm Phil. This is my first attempt at trying out one of these sites. It's quite difficult to sum yourself up in a couple of paragraphs. I don't like complimenting myself. I'm always getting into new hobbies and projects. One of my last big hobbies was saltwater fish. I've got a good size tank with a tang named Titus and a moray named Nero. It's very hard to make me mad. I try to always look at things from an unbiased viewpoint (which is not usually even possible). I'm always trying to figure myself and people out and why they do the things they do. I think that I've replaced the natural human desire to believe in something higher than oneself with adhering to a strict moral code. I strive to be honest, rational, and an all around good person. I don't always achieve this goal, but I try. I've realized that I have a pretty strong fear of rejection and a fear of hurting someone emotionally. Despite the seriousness of this profile, I have a good sense of humor.... at least I think I'm funny. My favorite stand-up comedians are currently Zach Galifinakas, Brian Posehn, and Louis CK. Soo fun.), or when I find some people to get off their butts and go with me... camping, going to national parks, etc etc etc.

Don't get me wrong, I like to do things by myself too. I took myself to go see Transformers this summer. I was such a nice date. I bought myself the ticket, popcorn, a drink, and even held the door open for myself. So nice. I think I might like to go again sometime. =P I also have gone on some solo photo adventures and other such fun alone-time like activities.

I enjoy being inside too, whether it's with other people (which happens a lot, because I have three roommates) or being alone.

Hey, I'm Matthew. I grew up in a town of 800 people, went off to college once, but that was the wrong thing to do at the time. Now I'm in a completely unfamiliar town and gonna try it again. I alternate between panic and complete confidence about this.

I enjoy listening to music or watching whatever is on TV, entertaining or otherwise. I like long drives, because it seems like that's when my best thinking is done. So after having been on thing for a few years now, and a few thousand questions into it, I figure I might as well go into some more depth about me. I am very much a definite individual. My chaos has form and direction. I am flexible, and though I may quite often (perhaps too often) seem senseless or random, I am never without reason. I am as intricate as a drop of water. I come with a very detailed instruction manual, but it's written in a language that does not originate in this world. Philosophical, theological, sociological, and psychological discussion is always quite enjoyable for me.

At all times, I seek wisdom, beauty, enlightenment, and joy. Understanding of the self and the world, in general, is the highest ideal. I decided to go to school at NIU, so thats why I live in big old Dekalb. I am hopefully graduating either this summer or next semester and then hello world. :) I love horseback riding more than anything and given the chance I would do it all day. An almost second best for me would be music, I love going to concerts! I also cant get enough of traveling, I hope to be able to visit every continent one day, so far I have a few down.
