I'm a college student at Kishwaukee Community College.

I enjoy hanging out with groups of friends and hate flying solo. Any day without plans is a day wasted in my opinion.

I am a sucker for romance and make a girlfriend one of the most important things in my life! I consider myself a good boyfriend, as I take care of my (hypothetical at the moment) girlfriend, never let her down, and tend to make her feel like the most special woman alive (because she is!).

I like to go for walks and bike rides, and in general be outdoors. If given a choice (and if it's feasible) I'd gladly ride my bicycle over driving a car.

As social and active as I am, I also enjoy working with computers. I'm shooting for a degree in computer science so I can get a job programming computers. I'm also one to play computer and video games.

I enjoy reading a good book when I have free time and need some time alone to relax. I've been reading since I was a young child, and there's no better way to get your thoughts going. Plus it's portable!

Not sure what to put in these things, but here goes. I am a very serious Catholic, and I try my hardest not to screw up. Because I am human, I often fail at that, but that is the joy about God...He is very forgiving. I am part of the Music Ministry at NIU's Newman Center, as well as an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist. (Note: Extraordinary is pronounced like it is two words; "Extra" "ordinary") Whenever I am on the schedule to administer the Blessed Sacrament, I become nervous when I am up there because I get to touch the actual Body of Christ and drink His Blood. If you are confused by what I just wrote, please ask and I will be more than happy to explain!!!

I am really into sports, as well. My favorite teams are the Broncos, Cubs and Illini (not because they made the Rose Bowl, either). For the most part, I have been a lifelong fan of the Cubs and Illini. In June 2006, I had the opportunity to travel to Europe with a group of around 30 people. From May 30, 2009 to June 7, 2009, I went on a storm chasing vacation with a team called Tempest Tours. We covered 6 states and traversed just under 3400 miles. Even though we only saw 1 tornado, we had at least one chaseable storm everyday. Ask me about this trip, and I will tell more!!!

People-wise, I am looking for someone who will respect my interests. This person MUST be a serious Christian who does not do drugs, drink to the point of sickness, and goes to Church at least once a week AND on Holy Days of Obligation. In addition, this person should not be a 24/7 "I need to be with you" type. I will want time with my friends, and I would expect this person to want time with her friends as well.

I am a sophmore at NIU studying Engineering. I am a bit of a geek, as my future profession will show. I like to read a lot, listen to music, mostly classic rock but I'm open to most forms of music. I am fascinated by identity, India, the avant-garde, and time travel. I love folk music, folk tales, cooking, weightlifting, record digging (jazz, soul jazz,jump blues, etc), ruins, silence, sandalwood, distressed leather and vinyl cracks.

I love to travel and learn about new cultures. If OKCupid had "animism" as a religion choice, I would pick it. I laugh out loud at simulacra sometimes. I'm for permaculture and the peace corps. I appreciate low fidelity. I pretend sophistication but would be much more at home playing art brute love puppets with a woman of undeniable genius and compassion.

I look more Asian than Caucasian I think, but I don't have that typical Asian characteristics. My eyes are bad, I wear glasses.

I am a licensed meteorologist in Japan.

I read, write, and speak in Japanese and English, and I'm a certified bilingual. I speak 4 languages, English and Japanese fluently, Spanish at a decent level and Korean at an OK level.

I like to travel, although my movements are limited in DeKalb since DeKalb is in the middle of no where.

I just realized that I have taken over 70 tests on here. That is absurd. I feel I have a pretty good idea of who I am without having taken them, but some of them are just so cleverly written, or so poorly written, or so obviously reflect the values of someone completely opposite from me, that I get sucked in and have to take them.

I would say I'm pretty laid back. I'm not really a high maintenance kind of girl, although I'll admit that I like to be the center of my guy's attention. I'm the girl you wouldn't mind bringing home to mom but will also hang out with all your boys. I don't have to go out to have a good time, actually I'd rather stay in with my friends or just my guy, be comfy, watch a scary movie, and drink some beers. more stuff about me:

i play the piano - i've been playing since i was about 7, so i guess that's about 17 years...but i only took lessons till i was 10, so i'm merely mediocre. but i like to play just the same. i've also been trying to teach myself the guitar, but i think i have to give up on it for now. :(

i've studied a style of martial arts called isshin ryu for the last 15ish years (i know....i'm a long-term kind of person...i don't usually give things up very easily). yes, i am a black belt. no, i don't know if i could kick your ass and i don't really care. i've never found a reason to kick anyone's ass no matter how much they piss me off.

i read whenever i can find the time, usually a couple of books at once. sometimes the paper too....tho i find current events can be kind of depressing when you're already having a bad day. 9 times out of 10 i'll just skip to the crossword.

i work out. usually i'm in the gym between 4 and 6 days a week depending on what else went on. i lift, bike (outside in the summer) and do pretty much whatever else seems interesting at the time. i like to take care of my body - i don't smoke and i rarely drink, but, not gonna lie, i do love to eat junk food from time to time....especially pizza.

i tend to drive around when i'm bored or can't sleep. i like my mini road trips :)

i rarely know what day of the week it is. so don't get annoyed with me if i ask you multiple times....probably within minutes of asking you the first time. i don't really know why. i'm guessing it's probably because i have no sense of time.

i have an unhealthy obsession with movies. my dvd collection is now pushing 600. so as you can guess, tuesday is my favorite day of the week (contrary to the paragraph above).

I'm a graduate student entering my second year at Northern Illinois University. I'm also affiliated with the LGBT Resource center at NIU, and proud to be able to do work that impact's peoples lives. This semester I teach a career development class for undergraduates, and when one of my students said something especially interesting in class, I almost felt myself jump for joy.

I play flute, guitar, drums, and mess around a bit on the bass and harmonica. I'm not a master at any one instrument, but I think I have a good ear and an excellent sense of rhythm. I'm 23, I live in DeKalb, with 2 roommates. It's pretty fun. I'm planning on going back to school to explore the world of journalism. Why? I'm not sure. Why not? Figuring out what I want to do with my life has always been pretty difficult for me, but I enjoy writing...I'm just a little rusty at it. And I figure I can write about anything, right? It's just writing about anything really WELL that is the problem. I'm interested in gender issues, feminism, vegan soap, and painting strange shapes on other peoples' ceilings.

I am a pretty shy person when I first meet new people, but once I get to know them I open up more. I like to go out with my friends. We go to the bar I would say once a week. I am kinda nerdy. I like videogames, sports, and the Cubs.

I am morally against dating websites.... I am also a hypocrite. I recently completed my undergraduate degree at Northern Illinois University with a double major in philosophy and political science. I'm still trying to find myself and I would be embarrassed to admit that if I didn't think that this is a lifelong process for everyone.

I do believe that I have given up at this point. That is the only explanation that I could could possibly explain why I would be filling out something like this. That and boredom, boredom would explain a lot. Not at lot of fun to be had when you are taking care of a sick parent. It consists of way to much sitting around waiting for something to happen. I enjoy being outside. This includes riding my pretty blue bike, or taking walks, or geocaching (which is hard to do alone because I haven't been able to get my OWN GPS yet, sooo I only get to go when my friend feels like it or when he decides I can take his GPS on my own, but I love to do it. Soo fun.), or when I find some people to get off their butts and go with me... camping, going to national parks, etc etc etc.

Don't get me wrong, I like to do things by myself too. I took myself to go see Transformers this summer. I was such a nice date. I bought myself the ticket, popcorn, a drink, and even held the door open for myself. So nice. I think I might like to go again sometime. =P I also have gone on some solo photo adventures and other such fun alone-time like activities.

I enjoy being inside too, whether it's with other people (which happens a lot, because I have three roommates) or being alone.

I really love this school, I donâ??t know what I would do if I was not going here. Iâ??m a really open person who just loves to cuddle and talk about the day. I am a very shy person at first though. Come up with a few subjects, and I will start to open up. A lot of my friends describe me as a very honest caring person. I love helping all of my friends with their issues. Recent university graduate who is looking to further my higher education while also building a stable career and personal life in conjunction with my care free attitude and random adventures. So after having been on thing for a few years now, and a few thousand questions into it, I figure I might as well go into some more depth about me. For those that are not familiar with what ENFJ means, google it. It is the single most important piece of information that I can share on here. I'm pretty much a laid back guy that takes care of himself and lives alone(no roommates). I do enjoy the finer things in life but I do like to keep it simple too. Let's see...I'm a typical social studies teacher that is an encyclopedia of trivia knowledge. My obsessions in life include 80's music, the White Sox, football, quoting movies, and trying new things. I've also become a big guitar hero fan of late. I just currently started my masters program in Educational Administration, which I'm really excited about.
I have an awesome group of friends that I grew up with and we've always been there for each other. I'm really close to my family even though most of my them live out west now. I guess I'm past the whole picking up people at bars, and I really don't want to date someone I work with, so I figured I'd give this a whirl. I've had my share of g/f's and know what it's like to be hurt, feel love, and just about everything in between so I have a good idea of what I'm looking for in a woman. Other than that, I'm an outgoing guy that could strike up a conversation with a perfect stranger and talk to them for hours.

I am a natural public speaker, which is quite funny because I am innately shy as well. I was in speech in school and on the forensics team in college and now I am on the radio and am told on a regular basis how much people enjoy listening to me talk. I find this flattering, but also a little odd, seeing as I don't enjoy the sound of my voice.

I'm chubby, curvy or rubensesque if you so please, but whatever -- do with that what you will.

I am fairly adventurous when it comes to new learning experiences, I love trying new foods, watching movies, reading books, listening to music -- everything has the ability to be done well as much as it has to be crappy. I am, however, heart-stoppingly terrified of heights, so bungee jumping, cliff-diving, parachuting, climbing mountains -- all out of the picture.

People tell me I have a knack for cooking. I'm no chef, but I can make tasty food on occasion.

I don't normally like labels, but for the sake of simplicity you could call me polyamorous if you don't know what that means I guess you could say I practice Ethical Non-Monogomy and am happily attached to <<typox>>, but I am always open to meeting new people looking for friendship or more.

Again with the "labels" thing, I call myself bisexual, but really that doesn't completely explain how I feel about sexuality. I hate to sound cliché, but really whatever you are or aren't carrying in your pants doesn't matter to me, I care more about our compatibility (as well as if I am attracted to said person, I'm not gonna lie).

I tend to like people who bend the rules. Be that of gender, religion, style... whatever. Maybe that is why I tend to be drawn to transvestites.

Hey all!

I decided to go to school at NIU, so thats why I live in big old Dekalb. I am hopefully graduating either this summer or next semester and then hello world. :) I love horseback riding more than anything and given the chance I would do it all day. An almost second best for me would be music, I love going to concerts! I also cant get enough of traveling, I hope to be able to visit every continent one day, so far I have a few down.

I'm mostly on this thing to meet and talk to people who think like me, so send me a message if you're bored and quit looking at the pictures up there which are specifically engineered to not resemble me in the slightest (although yeah, I do look a little younger than I am and yeah, I am probably considerably more "pretty" than "rugged". And yeah, I do notice the straight guys who click on this thing without looking at the gender, and yeah, I laugh at you.)

The most important thing in my life is my friends, pure and simple. I can regularly spend hours chilling in an empty room with nothing but a group of cool people - that's all it takes really, no alcohol necessary. Though admittedly I like to party and go out too. You may know me as "that lovable crazy dude with the long hair". Untagging images on facebook sometimes comes in handy.

I'm a massive film and movie geek. I'm not quite the standard uptight film-geek jackass (some of my favorites are really mainstream) but I really love a lot of the deeper aspects of film, so I love going to more limited release (some would say "artsy") movies if I can get the chance. Really, film is my favorite form of art.

When it comes to music, I like just about every genre. It definitely tends to confuse people who initially assume I'm a metalhead (see "first thing people notice about me"). Hell, my favorite band is Radiohead, which isn't the most unique choice, but hey. Honestly, I don't care if it's braindead rock or deep "pretentious" (I hate that word) stuff - I don't discriminate. Really, music is my favorite form of art. Shut up. =P

(Small edit - actually given my current haircut, now people generally think I'm "scene". I'm not really sure what that means, so I just either flip them off or hug them depending on my mood.)

Lastly and probably most importantly, I like to talk, a lot, about anything. The involvement of the people in the conversation is more important than the conversation itself, really. A lot of people are so caught up in "wondering what to talk about" that they forget about just being themselves.

The three most important things in my life are family, friends and music. My family and friends mean the world to me. I couldn't live without them. I also love music, especially rock. I really enjoy going to live shows. My favorite bands are Pantera, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Mudvayne, Stonesour and Five Finger Death Punch. I also like animals. I have a yellow lab that I love very much. I've also been a vegetarian for 16 years for ethical reasons.

Hey, I'm Matthew. I grew up in a town of 800 people, went off to college once, but that was the wrong thing to do at the time. Now I'm in a completely unfamiliar town and gonna try it again. I alternate between panic and complete confidence about this.

I enjoy listening to music or watching whatever is on TV, entertaining or otherwise. I like long drives, because it seems like that's when my best thinking is done. I'm decent at playing the drums, and would really like to learn the guitar. And I'm incredibly bummed that I never made it to Six Flags this year.
